VERIFICATION 14. What verification testing will be available to show evidence of CO-RE II pipetting performance? A test summary document demonstrating backwards compatibility of CO-RE II tips with a current CO-RE stop disk will be available for distribution in October 2021, and a test summary document for CO-RE II stop disks and the affected environment will be available for distribution Spring 2022. MANAGEMENT OF RISK DURING TRANSITION? 15. What is Hamilton’s backup strategy in the event of production startup issues with CO-RE II consumables? Hamilton has extensively tested CO-RE II tips to mitigate the risk of startup issues. Hamilton is also capable of producing both current CO-RE and CO-RE II consumables in the short term. SPECIFICATION 16. Will racks, barcodes, and tip numbers change? Racks, barcodes, and tip part numbers will not change, other than addition of a C2 designation in human readable text. Blister and case labels will change. SERVICING 17. Will there be updated service instructions and manuals for CO-RE II? Service instructions and manuals for CO-RE II will be updated upon hardware release. 18. What is the replacement interval for CO-RE II hardware?
Replacement of CO-RE II stop disks is not foreseen due to improved life span. The replacement interval for CO-RE II o-rings is TBD. 19. Is the replacement activity expected to be a service event, or can it be done by the lab user? O-Rings can be replaced by the lab user. Instructions will be provided prior to CO-RE II hardware launch. Periodic calibration and verification must still be performed as part of a service event. 20. Is there more information on the use of a torque tool for use in installation? CO-RE II stop disks include a 2 mm hex on the distal end to aid in installation. The installation torque for a CO-RE II stop disk is 15 cNm. ADDITIONAL QUESTIONS 21. Is the tip rack recognition with CO-RE II improved/changed?
